Just a quick update...Buddy is now in the ICU of Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital due to kidney failure...he has undergone dialysis and now undergoing plasmapheresis to clean out his blood and hopefully get his kidneys back in working condition. He is conscious and his condition has improved from when we brought him in but we are still waiting for his kidneys to work properly again. This is likely an effect of the chemo and other meds he started to take at the end of last week.
We are also trying to get the kids here as soon as possible.
Your prayers are needed, now more than ever...thanks in advance...
Ria

Hello Buddy. I am sending this prayer from the entire Macalincag family: Lord, we pray for Your healing touch on our good friend, Buddy. Make every part of his body function the way You designed it to. Whenever there is anything out of balance, set it in perfect working order. Heal him of any disease, illness, injury, infirmity, or weakness. Lord, You are God of everything, You can do anything, and You love Buddy very much. We ask this of You, In Jesus' name. Amen. --- Susan Macalincag-Guanzon and family

ReplyDeleteHi Ria - thank you for sharing your experiences, and allowing Eric's mom to be part of this blessed journey. Eric and I have been praying for Buddy and your family since we found out through Trinna. I also shared the news of the diagnosis to Eric's mom (Dra Norma Ona)earlier; we are just both glad Buddy is being cared for at the Mayo. She asked me to let you to know the she is also one with all of you in prayer. Please do not hesitate to call us if there's anything else we can do to help. TRinna is like a sister to me, and it would be an honor to be able to help your family in any way we can. - Gailey and Eric Ona
ReplyDeleteHi Ria, this is Meng, your Poveda classmate Louisa del Fonso's younger sister. I'm also Buddy's schoolmate at Thunderbird from many years ago. I believe an Atendido cousin of mine was also good friends with Buddy growing up in MN. I learned of Buddy's illness just now through the alumni page on Facebook. My heart goes out to you both. You two are a testament of faith and faithfulness. I am storming heaven with prayers for Buddy's quick return to full health and total freedom from pain, and in thanksgiving for Ria's strength and for the love and solidarity from all those surrounding you. The Lord has you both in the palm of His Hand. By His stripes, you are already healed, Buddy. We will see it manifest physically soon! With Him beside you, before you, behind you, and for you, you've got this!

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear the news of your cancer and related health issues. I am praying so much and sending warm wishes to you and your family, and also have added you to the prayer list at church. Your children are adorable and you and your wife have a great attitude and great faith. If you would like to learn about some integrative and nutrition related approaches to augment your cancer journey, I'd be happy to offer some resources. Please greet your parents and family for me.
All the best,
